Privacy policy
Last updated: 2026-11-01
This Privacy Policy explains how Likelyx Labs Ltd, a company incorporated in the British Virgin Islands ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"), collects, uses, shares and protects personal information in connection with the prediction markets platform available at likelyx.ai (the "Platform"). It forms part of, and is incorporated by reference into, our Terms of Service. Capitalised terms not defined here have the meaning given to them in the Terms.
By accessing or using the Platform, you confirm that you have read this Policy. If you do not agree with it, you must not use the Platform.
1. Information We Collect
Account information. The identifier you register with — an email address, a social login identifier, or the public address of a cryptographic wallet you connect — together with your display name, your chosen language and the authentication and session records needed to keep you signed in.
Identity information. Where we are required to verify your identity under our AML/KYC Policy, we collect identity documents, date of birth, nationality, country of residence, and the information needed to establish your source of funds. We collect this only when a verification requirement is triggered, and we tell you what is needed at that point.
Transaction and blockchain information. Deposit addresses derived for you, deposit and withdrawal transactions, on-chain transaction hashes, counterparty addresses, your Account balance, and the orders, positions and settlements recorded against your Account.
Technical and usage information. IP address, approximate location derived from it, device and browser characteristics, the pages you open, the actions you take on them, and diagnostic data such as error reports and performance traces.
Communications. The content of messages you send us for support, and records of our replies.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to operate your Account and execute your trades; to credit deposits and process withdrawals; to verify your identity and screen you and your withdrawal addresses against sanctions lists; to detect and investigate fraud, market manipulation and other activity prohibited by the Terms; to enforce jurisdiction-based access restrictions; to provide support; to secure the Platform and diagnose faults; to measure and improve how the product is used; and to comply with our legal, regulatory and record-keeping obligations.
Where a data protection law such as the UK or EU General Data Protection Regulation applies to our processing, we rely on the performance of our contract with you (operating your Account), compliance with a legal obligation (identity verification, sanctions screening, record keeping), and our legitimate interests in securing the Platform and preventing abuse. Where we rely on consent — for example, for optional analytics cookies — you may withdraw it at any time.
3. Information Published to a Blockchain
Deposits, withdrawals and on-chain settlements are recorded on public blockchain networks. Those records are public, permanent and outside our control: we cannot amend, delete or hide them, and anyone can inspect them. A wallet address you use with the Platform may be linked by third parties to your other on-chain activity. Consider this before choosing which address to deposit from or withdraw to.
4. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers — infrastructure hosting, error monitoring, analytics, email delivery, identity verification and blockchain analytics providers, each acting on our instructions and bound to protect the information they process for us;
- Sanctions and compliance screening — the providers we use to screen users and blockchain addresses against the sanctions lists referred to in the Terms;
- Legal and regulatory authorities — where we are required to disclose information by applicable law, a court order, or a lawful request, or where disclosure is necessary to report suspicious activity under our AML/KYC Policy;
- Professional advisers — our legal, accounting and audit advisers, where they need the information to advise us; and
- A successor — in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganisation or sale of assets, where the recipient is bound to handle the information consistently with this Policy.
5. International Transfers
We operate internationally and our service providers may process information in countries other than yours, including countries whose data protection laws differ from those of your jurisdiction. Where such a transfer is subject to a data protection law that restricts it, we put in place a lawful transfer mechanism, such as standard contractual clauses.
6. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and equivalent browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your language and interface preferences, and understand how the Platform is used. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be switched off without breaking sign-in. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and doing so may prevent parts of the Platform from working.
7. Retention
We keep Account, transaction and identity records for as long as your Account is open and, after it is closed, for the period required by the anti-money-laundering record-keeping obligations described in our AML/KYC Policy — ordinarily at least five years from the end of our relationship with you, or longer where a law, an investigation or a legal claim requires it. Technical logs are kept for a shorter period appropriate to security and diagnostics. Information recorded on a blockchain cannot be deleted, as described in section 3.
8. Security
We apply administrative, technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss and misuse, including encryption in transit, access controls, and a tiered wallet architecture for custodied funds. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for safeguarding your own credentials, private keys and seed phrases; as the Terms set out, we are not liable for loss arising from your failure to do so.
9. Your Rights
Subject to the law that applies to you, you may ask us to give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you; to correct information that is inaccurate; to delete information; to restrict or object to how we use it; to provide it in a portable form; and to withdraw a consent you previously gave.
To exercise any of these, write to [email protected] from the address registered to your Account, or from an address we can otherwise verify. We will respond within the period the applicable law requires.
These rights have limits we must be honest about. We cannot delete identity and transaction records we are required to retain for anti-money-laundering purposes, and we cannot alter or remove anything already written to a blockchain. Where we cannot act on a request, we will tell you why. If you are unhappy with our response, you may complain to the data protection authority in your country.
10. Children
The Platform is not directed at anyone under eighteen (18), and the Terms require every user to be at least eighteen or the age of legal majority in their jurisdiction, whichever is higher. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If we learn that we have, we will delete it and close the Account.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Where a change is material, we will use reasonable endeavours to give notice through the Platform or by email to the address associated with your Account. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated, and your continued use of the Platform after an update constitutes acceptance of it.
12. Contact
For any question about this Policy or about how we handle your information, contact us at [email protected].
